burns one side and other side cold!!!

Really wanted this to be our go to toaster. The color is as expected and that's where it ends for us! On the bagel setting, one side of the bagel toasts or BURNS and the other side of the bagel is still COLD!?! If we try and toast a piece of bread, that just burns. We bought this toaster for our newly remodeled kitchen and now that the kitchen is done, we unpacked the toaster and used it for the first time about a week ago. We've tried every setting from 1-6 and the bagel button as well. This toaster is either defective, or isn't worth the money at all! If we were within the return window, I would send it back in a heartbeat. So disappointed and very dissatisfied! Don't waste your money on this toaster!
