The iSpring ED2000 whole house electronic water descaler is an innovative, computerized water conditioning system that solves hard water problems without the need for chemicals, salt, or filter cartridges. It requires little maintenance as it does not need the constant salt additions or cartridge replacements that traditional water softening systems require. This makes it a healthy and economic alternative to a traditional water softener, and great for those on salt-restricted diets.
The ED2000 functions by wrapping two antenna cables around the main water pipe to form a coil, creating a complex, frequency modulated, electronic magnetic waveform. This induces an oscillating electric field into the water, resulting in the agitation of water molecules sufficient enough to trigger the release of carbon dioxide and cause the premature precipitation of calcium bicarbonate. This process naturally results in a small increase in solubility, which allows the now unsaturated water to dissolve existing scale deposits and remove them from the water system.
Limescale deposits on your fixtures will soften after regular contact with the treated water from the ED2000. This allows for easier cleaning of fixtures without the use of chemicals. Much better than salt system for hard water
I wanted to wait a month after installing this before reviewing. Our city has very hard water. What we've noticed, is that the tap water tastes much better. Before, the tap water was basically undrinkable, it tasted so bad. Our coffee tastes much better. Not sure how the insides of the pipes are looking, but the shower does have better water pressure. I used to have to CLR the faucets and shower head every couple of weeks. I have not had to use CLR in this past month! Installation was very easy. The red and blue wires are easy to wrap around the pipe. The power cord is very long, which is very nice. As my basement only has 2 outlets and neither are close to the pipes. No extension cord was needed for my basement.
