Very Handy Little Scooter

I've had my Triaxe for right at a year, and overall, I love it. I bought mine direct from the dealer, before Walmart started carrying them, but the price was the same. I added a spare travel battery, charger, wider seat and cupholder. If I could do it again, I would have got the extra battery, but not the travel charger, wide seat or cupholder. I've never needed the extra charger, the cupholder is a joke, and the wider seat is wider, but it's only half as thick. I would recommend sticking with the standard seat. It's a lot more padding. The scooter is incredibly easy to handle. Very maneuverable, and FAST. They say 9 mph, I've had it unofficially clocked at 12 mph! Doesn't sound like much, but on a little scooter, that's fast! It folds down and unfolds back up in seconds, and at only 57lbs with the big battery, it's easy to get into the trunk, and it will fit into the trunk of just about anything! I'm not sure what the range on mine is, but I've been to all-day functions.. weddings, reunions, etc. where I was running around on it all day, and haven't ran a battery down yet. I take the spare with me, just in case, but have never needed it yet. I'm 6'1", 265lbs and it fits me just fine. There's little "outriggers" on both sides for my feet (which have little anti-tip wheels by the way), and though it looks cramped, it doesn't feel it. It handles my weight well, and claims to be able to accommodate someone up to 350lbs. That would be pushing it, I think. I run mine throughout my house, and it handles doorways and hallways just fine. If you want one to use inside your house, or maybe at the office, this scooter is perfect for that! Weaving around between desks and such is no problem! The turning radius is crazy! But it is a trike, so you would expect a tight radius. If you want an outdoor, cross country scooter, I'd say keep looking. While the Triaxe can handle some outside surfaces, like parking lots, sidewalks, etc., it's pretty much worthless on gravel, sand, or inclines on grass. The front power tire is small and plastic. It just won't handle anything that's not relatively smooth. And the claim in the specs about being able to handle an 18degree incline.... don't count on it. A 12 or 13 degree maybe but an 18 is highly unlikely, unless you're really tiny. And grass is a real problem, especially if it's even a little wet. Again, the front wheel just isn't big enough. Also, on the subject of the front drive wheel, if you use the pull out luggage rack in back (which does work fine) it causes a problem with traction. If the weight on the rear rack is over 25 lbs or so, it causes the front wheel to get "light" and lose traction. It's like a see-saw, the more weight you put on one end the higher the other end goes. I used my luggage rack once, grocery shopping, and had to stop and transfer my stuff to a store shopping cart. Haven't used it since. Anyway, for a lightweight, dependable, very maneuverable, quick, and easy to transport scooter, this one would be hard to beat. I would give it 5 stars, if it handled grass and inclines better, but overall, it's a great little machine, and I am very comfortable recommending it.

Only good on flat surface. No hills of any grade or even slightly rough terrain.
