My daughter has been using a a similar unit for many years to cook her holiday turkey. It frees up so much space in her oven for cooking other holiday goodies. I have always wanted one and finally this year I invested in the Superjoe Roaster. It was just what I needed. It was large enough for a 21 pound turkey to feed the whole family. We never had cooked in one before so we did a test run on a nice size chicken so we could check it out. In reading the instructions to get started it said that a curing process had to be completed on the unit before using it for food prep. I was not familiar with this process. I contacted the seller to find out more, it turns out this process was needed to cook off any chemicals used in the making of the roaster. It made me a little nervous that I had to cook off harmful chemicals but we followed the instructions. It smoked a bit and smelled bad so we did the curing process 3 or 4 times until the smell went away. Then we did our maiden voyage with the chicken. It turned out perfectly. No worries about the curing process. Then we cooked our turkey on Christmas day and it was moist, tender and delicious. So over all I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this unit to anyone looking to make a delicious meal.

I bought this to cook beef tenderloin for Christmas. I cooked 2 six lb. loins in it %26 they fit perfectly. Any bigger %26 may be a problem. But it cooked them perfectly. I am happy with my purchase %26 the price point. I think it will be perfect to cook my turkey in next year. Highly recommend.
