Durum Wheat Pasta

When I can't find orzo in the store, I typically purchase the La Moderna Melon Seed Pasta. The price is comparable and my family doesn't notice a difference in the dishes I make. I like the pasta is made with durum wheat. I feel like there is more of a health benefit compared to most pastas on store shelves. I like to keep several bags in my pantry at all times for quick easy meals.

I love this melon seed pasta in soup mushroom or cream of chicken. I imagine any cream soup would do. Certainly it's a great substitute for barley if it's not on hand. So .... this was a case of Melon seed pasta for an outstanding price. This really is a great filling pasta that doesn't overtake my soup.
