My first reaction was "oh, pretty!". Then I took the two pairs (for my one bedroom window) out of the packaging and washed them in my washing machine's delicate setting. They're like old-fashioned curtains, just a nice light fabric. Not sheer, but not blackout either. I also have blinds on my window so there's enough coverage to prevent anyone looking in from outside. I love them!
