I live about 20 miles south of our local tv outlets but our apartment has a south exposure with lots of hills and trees. I didn't expect much. I am pleasantly surprised. Just laid the antenna on the windowsill, used the supplied booster and ran a 25' cable. I receive all major channels plus about 30 more. All crystal clear with no interference or picture distortion.

Powerful indoor antenna

My cable company was moving the local 0TA channels to SDV transmission to force customers like myself to pay another $100 per year for their box. My TV was able to receive the other all digital scrambled channels directly from their cable without any box (my TV has a Cable Card built into it, 2006 JVC). I installed the RCA antenna in a nearby window and it picked up all the local channels which were then fed to my personal Philips DVD Recorder which was conected to the TV via HDMI preserving the HDTV quality. The antenna does not work as well when located inside a room or in a window that is facing away from the TV antennas. I believe this is one of the best indoor antennas and is fairly priced by Wallmart.

Digital Flat Indoor Antenna

Very surprised how well this antenna worked indoors. It picked up 26 channels with very clear pictures including those that broadcast in High Definition. The antenna was very to attach to our TV and picks up more channels the closer it is to a window. Plan to buy one or two more for other TVs as soon as we cut the off cable and add Sling as we need the antenna for local stations.
