The chairs are constructed of solid hardwoods with a steel folding mechanism and black padded upholstered seat. These chairs fold to 8" for storage and weigh only 12.7lbs. Fantastic!

We use these chairs as extras around dining room table around the holidays. Absolutely very sturdy, well made chairs. Love the fact they fold and put away for easy storage until needed again. Only difficulty was initially opening them due to their newness and need to be broken in. Very comfortable chairs and easy to clean up if messes are made on seat. LOVE these chairs!
