Heats quick, maintains heat and has an extra long
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised on the length of the cable, and how quickly it was able to heat. This will drop into the largest of water troughs for any animals. The built in thermostat is great, so I don't have to worry about unplugging it. It's heavy and feels well made.

A Winter Must-Have!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The API Bucket/Utility De-Icer will be a total game-change for us during the cold months! With 500 watts of power,it will keep our water container from freezing-even in below-freezing temps. Its perfect for our backyard chickens,and ideal for any container up to 60 gallons. I love how easy it will be to use- just plug it in, drop it into the container, and ley it do its job. The built-in thermostat helps regulate temperature efficiently,and the 6-foot cord gives you plenty of flexibility to reach outlets safely. It hearts just enough to keep water accessible without overheating or damaging plastic containers. The de-icer gives me peace of mind knowing my chickens will have fresh,unfrozen water available around the clock. It's reliable,sturdy,and well worth it!
