I thought the cup was included and that this would display the current temperature. It only tells the temperature you select. If you want to wait for this to heat your cold water, be prepared for a long wait. It’s also very big but I do like the regular plug for an outlet.

The instructions are severely lacking. There are no photos or drawings / sketches. The instructions say if you have questions or problems to "Contact us", however there is no company name, website, address or phone number. I purchased through Walmart, thus I'm sending these comments through Walmart's website, I don't know if they will reach the manufacturer I gave 2 stars because the system worked well the first time and is very quiet. I hope that performance continues so that I don't need to contact the manufacturer!
