They will easily handle any muddy terrain, but the quality of the ride is significantly impacted. If you wind up riding on harder surfaces, you'll notice they vibrate at slower speeds. The tread will also wear faster.

Will big tires work on my ATV?

Your ATV should have a minimum engine size of 450cc or more. That's for 27-inch tires and taller. Any tires that are 28 inches or larger are only for the serious off-road enthusiast with a larger engine to match.
