I've always had a 20" floor / window fan in the house and this Lasko model takes it to another level, with more volume pushing and the remote control, But, the remote isn't as sensitive as other devices/appliances that I have that are remote-controlled. You have to be almost perfectly in line and in the line of sight before you get good remote activation. Something they should work on. Other than that this is a step up in the world of floor fans.

I only buy Lasko fans. My grandfather was an HVAC guy and that's the only ones he ever recommended or would buy. We use these at work in our hot commercial kitchen and the air feels almost like AC, so now I have them in my home. They are sturdy and well built and will last a long time.

Puts out lots of air, but plastic used for grip and supports came broken, and even after repair, the fan blows over backwards due to flimsy, poorly designed supports.
