Recommended. Excellent little mower.

The 20 yo gas powered unit needed work, and I wanted something where getting gas, starting it in the spring, and maintenance were not an issue for my elderly relative. I went with this based on the many positive reviews. Wow. Very lightweight but works fine with foot tall grass. He LOVES it. I told him this is an early xmas gift. My brother, who was visiting when I bought this, liked it so much he is getting one for his wife.

Far Better than Name Brand Mowers

This Hyper Tough electric mower is worlds better than other big-brand mowers (especially Ryobi). The batteries last long enough to mow my front and back yard with juice to spare. It does not bog down or shut off when mowing overgrown areas. I did not expect the cheapest electric mower to be the best out there, but it is. I highly recommend it.

easy going lawn mower

very light weight. real tall grass on turbo about 45 minutes battery life. normal grass on power save two hours more. takes about two hours to charge completely discharged batteries. push button pull bale it starts I don't have to bend over nothing. no oil or gas. sounds like a big bee. probably one best mowers so far I've owned. used it now about three months. I would buy another. takes some getting use to feels like at first pushing a toy. I've used it tall grass 8 -12 inch no problems. handles as good as gas mower.

Works better than expected.

Really impressed by the performance of this mower on our yard so far. Purchased to replace an also very good gas mower that stopped working, and WE, as in the family WE thought we would try this one after looking at many new and used, and considering cost of repairs. This Hyper Tough is working just fine, and appears to be doing at least as well cutting our lawns, but without the fumes and all the oil and other pollution. I will admit to some surprise, but am totally satisfied after a couple of months of use. BTW, the double battery design is definitely a good idea, and WE are considering adding more of the Hyper Tough tools using the same batter system, especially if we can buy more of the specific large capacity batteries that came with the mower; so far I have been looking to buy more batteries for back up, but have not found any. Not a problem so far, as one charge does the front or back with plenty left over.. Good product IMVHO.

charge it 1st when you get it

fantastic. comes partially charged and easy to assemble. it will work with batteries partially charged. we have a small new England style yard and one charge can do the yard 3 times. i love that it mulches the leaves in the grass as i mow over them even on the power saver mode. the broad bar handle is great if you have arthritis or carpal tunnel. prior we had a hand push manual mower by fiskers. between heat, smoke and humidity we decided it was time for a power mower. this lil engine gets out lawn mowed in 15 minutes instead of 45 minutes of push and pull. our yard also requires less raking because of the mulching. bonus you can buy additional batteries from Walmart that work if you want and you can use the extra batteries to charge your phone. win win. very happy with this purchase

BEST OPTION FOR ME

It is all plastic, hence being lightweight. It has a nice handle on top if you need to lift it into your building to store it. I have used it three times to mow parts of my yard that my riding mower cannot get to and it has been absolutely fabulous. I used it all three times and the batteries ran down. I'm very pleased as there is no oil, gas, or trouble cranking to worry with.

Surprisingly satisfied! Great mower!

I don't know how to change the oil from a regular mower so I opted for this cheaper electric option. I haven't really used it “normal” bc I let my grass get 3 ft tall. So I had to go over everything at least twice. This mower is great. Light weight. Easy to put in batteries. Easy to re charge. If I got a lot done while having to remove the whole yard, I could only imagine how easy it would be to mow a well kept yard! Idk how big my yard is but we can easily fit a 30x40 tent for parties. **First time using.** didn't get to finish entire yard but like I stated before, my lawn was overgrown and I had to go over the entire thing at least twice.

Easy to use

Everything was fine. It made it a lot easier to mow the yard. The previous one I bought was a little small so I needed something bigger. This may only be me. I'm not gonna lie, but I feel like it's the length of the arms are long. If that makes sense. it is like you have to do a three-point turn with the car instead of a U-turn.

Bought in a hurry …. Not a horrible deal!

Although this seems to be a decent mower. This does not handle ugly yards…. This is for the pretty yards! Handle bars alone feel as if they can be stripped or bend easily. This would be great for a yard that is already kept up. The batteries do not stay charged long enough to finish all perimeters of our home … which makes it hard to complete the duty in one shot:(

I love this mower but agree with others that it's better for manicured yards. I live in the country with a gravel drive and woods all around. It dies within the first hour and a half and is making it very frustrating to try and finish. It is very powerful and cuts great so I really wish the batteries were as impressive.
