I'm getting up there in years. I need a firm mattress for my back and neck, but a soft cushion for my knee and hip joints. A firm mattress with one of these super-soft bed toppers works perfectly!

I bought this to put on my couch after hip surgery. Initially I thought it was incredibly stiff and I was nervous that it would be too hard. I had my surgery and have been lying on it for one week and it has been a game changer with my recovery. It is very hard when you first get on it, but then you sink into it and it has been perfectly supportive for my body post surgery. There is no way to “roll it up” and store it in a reasonable way - so this is a permanent item for whatever you use it for. When I am healed after surgery I will probably cut it down and make dog beds - but for my needs it has been perfectly supportive.

I have a friend who has one similar to this one in their guest room which I stayed in. It was quite comfortable so I purchased this one. I was looking to purchase a mattress topper because I kept waking up with a stiff lower back. I have only used it for about a week so far. I still wake up with a stiff back but doesn't seem as severe as before. It is lightweight and set up easily but had to purchase a larger sheet set to cover it.

It's pretty hard like it shapes your body when you sleep it indents n it's not squishy soft I got the 3 inch one so maybe that's why
