Works impressively well. It pulls over a gallon of water out of the air in my 800 sq ft apartment in San Francisco each day. It does warm up the main room noticeably, but that results in using the heater less when it's chilly. It's a bit noisy, like a large fan, so I will sometimes turn it off when listening to music.

We have had many dehumidifiers in the past. By far this unit is the best, solid construction, not too loud %26 capacity is very good. During the summer season in the past we emptied our other units many times during a 24 hour cycle, this unit just twice. Would recommend.

Excellent. I have this great unit in the basement on the 1/2 full bucket setting, and it sucks 2 gallons of water each day out of the air. Great for watering the plants. ;-) Deffo a must-buy

We have a ton of moisture in this house! However what makes it all worthwhile is that it feels cooler here. The dehumidifier really works to cool down your home.

This very innovative design is worthy of consideration. It may not be the best choice for the old and the infirm owing to the weight of the unit that must be removed to access the water reservoir. The android app sometimes fails to show the correct amount of water in the reservoir which may be related to network security measures somewhat unique to me. It isn't a panacea, but it is certainly worth a look.

I haven't used it much yet. Unpacking was easy, and the quickstart guide was clear enough. It has nice options. I didn't need to use the tank since I had located it near a drain. It took some time to understand where the bucketless mode indicator was, but that was my fault for not reading the directions thoroughly enough. I then realized that I didn't need to use that mode since the unit can sit on the bucket with the drain hose in place. This wasn't clear from the quick start guide. It became clear after watching the instructional video, which I recommend doing first. I am using it in set mode, but I couldn't find the swing value It took a week for Midea support to answer my question. The answer is about 3%, meaning the humidity has to rise about 3% above the set point before the unit will turn on. So if you don't want the humidity to rise above 50%, set it at 45%.

Recommend with Reservations: It does the job. WV has high humidity throughout the summer so it runs continually. I keep the humidity between 40 to 49 percent. In a 24-hour period the tank will need emptied 2 times. The CONS are design and materials. It is not intuitive how the top part of the de-humidifier sits over the collection tank. If you do not sit it atop properly, it will generate an error code, so be prepared to have the manual handy. The collection tank is made of CHEAP plastic and I fear that I will Crack it.

I had purchased this unit online. For 10 days, this unit worked great. Quiet, intuitive, easy to empty, wifi control. Then.... it stopped. That is when I found out how Midea, and by extension, Walmart, treats its warranties. I called Midea and was told to go the "nearest" Walmart for a refund and repurchase. So, I called Walmart. I can not find a local Walmart within 30 miles that carries this model. I can get a refund locally, but no replacement. I contacted Midea. They refused to send a replacement. The service person agreed that the unit needed to be replaced. but they will not send a replacement. I recommend being careful about buying this brand, despite the excellent reviews by Wirecutter and CR. Customer service is only important when you need it. Then it becomes very important. When it comes to Midea and Walmart, this did not work well, in my opinion. In this case, an otherwise excellent unit stopped working within 10 days and led to a bad experience with both Walmart and Midea. Neither one stepped up to the plate to make the customer happy.
