Quite a good value for its price. Aside from its great value, the only real problem is activation, which you “must” do. If your just trying to use it as a wifi-only device, take the SIM card out before you start it up, then select your WiFi network, and while it's loading, un plug your WiFi for 1 minute, plug it back in, restart the phone, and repeat once. I want to start by saying that I bought two of these for autistic kid when they were on sell for only $19.99, I think. So, I may be a tad bit biased since I'm pretty sure I got 2 of them for the price of what one normally is. She doesn't use it for an actual phone, we only use Wi-Fi. It was a little annoying to work around not having to connect it to straight talk, or whoever, first. I did not see anywhere when I first purchased them that it claims you HAVE to activate it on a plan first before having access to Wi-Fi. Thankfully, I figured it out. So, if you don't want to use it for a plan and only want it for Wi-Fi, it is possible, just have to think outside the box. For what the phone is, it was definitely worth the money. I cannot verify how well it receives cell service, but I can say that the screen is massive and crystal clear, the volume is really good, and the camera takes greats pictures and videos from the front and rear cameras.

Decent phone. Very reasonable price. Works good for a family member in need of a basic phone for basic needs and emergency communication. Activation was a bit tricky, but when I called the straight talk customer support, they were able to help me activate the phone quickly. The website and “bot chat” were no help. Only when I spoke with a human, I was able to get the help I needed.

so far I haven't been able to activate it yet it won't stay on to do anything, I charged it to full but I can't get the phone to work

Phone is not durable. My son dropped it on linoleum and it shattered the screen completely and he was sitting down so it wasn't a long fall either. This happened with two different phones same model. Also u must buy a service plan or have an active SIM card even if ur just planning on using the phone on WiFi. 0 out of 10 do not recommend

I was not aware i had to put a service plan on the phone to activate it. I dont think that you have to put a plan on a phone if you dont want to. The phone works well in a lot of places

don't buy for wifi. there should be a warning online as on the box, but wifi is not available before buying a phone plan and spending another 35 for one month of service minimum. there is a software block making the phone a brick until you buy actuvate a phone plan with straight talk. this is very uncommon for straight talk or any prepaid carrier to do. and this stripped down TCL phone isn't worth it to me to buy a phone plan for. not a fan.

The phone looks good on the outside, but it's saying that it's having a problem with activation and that is a problem for me so I do not know what to do or get a replacement or either get my money back because when I bought another phone like this it did the same thing too, and I don't know why it's doing that. Can it be fixed?

Worst purchase ever. It can not be used on wifi unless you pay for service according to company. Never heard of wifi not being available but here I am and I can't even get into the phone to activate unless I call from another phone and pay. This is a major buyer beware!!

Item comes with screen.Early item comes already damaged and I bought others to replace it.And they immediately this screen breaks and the glass cuts your fingers and you are really unable to use the product.After 22hours, even like the scree On this phone is worthless
