This is the neatest gadget yet! My hairdresser was using one on a recent visit. I asked her where she got it and she said she thought it was Walmart.com. I ordered one and it's the best thing I've seen to remove hair from a brush. Keeps your brush looking neat and tidy!

I Purchased this tool to use on 4 of my hair brushes that had a lot of build up. On all my brushes it did great in getting rid of all the hair strands. It was also very good getting rid of the lint like stuff at base of the bristles on my regular bristle brushes. My hair brushes with ball-like tips were more difficult to clean out the linty debris.

If you use a hairbrush, you should buy this tool! It's excellent at removing all the stuff you don't want building up on your brush. The longer tines are good for 'raking' out any loose hairs caught in the bristles, and the shorter tines help you hook out any stubborn lint balls (this happens a lot with natural/boar bristle brushes.) Be aware that if your brush has a lot of hair/lint buildup, you'll want to clean out the metal tines of this tool frequently (as opposed to repeatedly drawing it through your brush) or things get tangled fast. This happened to me on the shorter tines and it was a challenge to get cleaned up at the end. After I had removed as much hair and buildup as possible, I went a step further and gently scrubbed my hairbrush with dish soap and warm water. I used a toothbrush to really get into the bristles to remove any product buildup. After a rinse and overnight air dry, I had a clean, like-new hairbrush!

Works great. Removed hair from my hair brushes I thought were already clean while leaving intact the knobs on the ends of bristles. Actually bought it to clean brushes on drum carder used in preparing wool to spin at the recommendation of another fiber artisan. Economical addition to my fiber tools.
