Leupold 171568 VX-6HD Riflescope

The VX-6HD 1–6 X 24 is one of my favorite all-time scopes! It is mounted on a Ruger Marlin 45–70 guide gun. With it, I have the ability to go out past 300 yards easily on six power, and all the way in to point blank on one power with the illuminated FireDot. It functions, identical to my red dot sights on my other rifles and pistols. In my opinion, it is the perfect scope for any guide gun, hog hunting, or anything that requires shooting from point blank to distance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this scope so far. The CDS-ZL system is awesome, it seems to track accurately when dialing up for yardage. The ability to dial for windage and having a zero lock on that turret also adds to the versatility of this scope. The fire dot with level indicator is a nice feature. The aluminum scope caps are great. I'm glad I spent the extra money to step up to this model over the VX-5HD.
