Using a standard 8 oz/250 ml measuring cup which contains approximately 110 g of Pro Plan. Puppies start to nibble solid foods at 3 - 4 weeks of age. Keep moistened Pro Plan available at all times. Allow your puppy to eat at will until fully weaned (6 - 8 weeks). After weaning, Pro Plan can be fed moistened or dry. For best results, develop a regular feeding schedule such as three small meals a day for younger puppies. You can gradually reduce to one feeding in the morning and one in the evening as your puppy ages. The routine should not vary. As puppies near adulthood, their calorie needs may drop, and your puppy may begin leaving some food in the bowl. Don't misinterpret this as an indication of dislike for the food. Instead, begin offering less so your puppy doesn't overeat and stays in ideal body condition. Nestlé Purina Research indicates that avoiding overfeeding of puppies may help their development. Maintaining ideal body condition is key to encouraging proper growth in all puppies, especially large breeds. The indicated amounts are only a guideline. If your puppy becomes overweight, a reduction of your puppy's daily food intake may be appropriate. You may wish to consult your veterinarian about a weight control program. MAKING THE SWITCH TO PRO PLAN Although you'll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your dog, please allow 7 - 10 days to ease the transition from your dog's current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you're feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. This food saved my dog!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Our dog was having chronic diarrhea and intermittent vomiting, and our vet could not figure it out! All tests were coming back as normal, including allergy tests. Our vet decided to have us try removing chicken from his diet since he is a standard poodle (chicken sensitivities and allergies run rampant in the breed). It turns out that he has a NASTY sensitivity to chicken. He is now on the adult formula of this food, but this is the one that he was started on. The sheer relief when I finally saw him have a normal bowel movement was insurmountable. He gained weight, and is now a healthy weight, with all of the energy in the world. We also just went a full 13 months with no gastro issues whatsoever. When we got our second poodle, it was a no brainer that she would be on Pro Plan as well. Both dogs do amazingly well on it!

Excellent Experience with Food
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) When I rescued Toro she had very bad mange and a secondary skin infection. The first four months we took many trips to the vet for antibiotics and other treatments. One thing the vet recommended was this salmon based food to help with her coat. Given that she's a Rottweiler the large breed formula was important. Toro loves the food and it's made such a difference in her skin and coat and was an essential part of her overall healing process. She's now 1.5 years and has switched to the adult version.

Great product
Our breeder recommended we use this product for our new golden puppy. She seems to be thriving on it and certainly enjoys her food. Having previously had Golden's who are prone to sensitive skin we're planning to give this a try to avoid any potential allergy issues. So far so good!
