The Pioneer Woman Vintage Floral Enameled Cast Iron 3-Quart Dutch Oven

This cast iron pot is not only beautiful, but it is very functional. I tried it out for the first time with a simple meal, trying out how great it worked on the stovetop as well as in the oven. It held the heat well on top of the stove top on a gas stove. I was able to quickly and even brown my meat prior to adding in my liquids and remaining ingredients for a baked meal. The pot is a medium sized, small family serving pot. The only thing that I do not like about this particular pot, is that I can not make enough for left overs. On the up side of things, I can just order the larger size and have a matching set. Cleaning is way simpler, than with my other cast iron pots, because the enamel makes it much easier to wash. Do not put this in the dishwasher if you want it to last. Wash this the old school way with some soap and water in the sink. There are specific instructions within the packaging that warns of enamel damage that can possibly occur from washing in the dishwasher, which I assume would lead to cracking.

This Pioneer Woman casserole dish is adorable. Reminds me of my Southern grandmother's Kitchen in the mid-to-late 80s. The designs are absolutely beautiful with beautiful flowers all around the pot. One of my favorite pieces is the lid which is a big sunflower or Daisy. It's very heavy thick durable material. The wait is probably around 4 lb. I made Fried Chicken in mine and it came out delicious. This product is very easy to clean. I love the Pioneer Woman's designs. I would definitely recommend any of her products to a friend
