Feeding Instructions
Using the chart, divide the total cups per day by the total number of times you feed your puppy per day to determine the portion size for each meal. Keep a clean bowl of fresh water available at all times. Every puppy is a little different, so optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size and activity level. Please use this information as an initial recommendation only and adjust when needed. Dry and wet food in combination will help to increase the level of water in your dog’s diet. If feeding with wet food, reduce dry amount by 1/2 cup for every 6 oz of wet food. Pregnant or nursing females may consume two or three times the recommended amount per day. Transitioning: Gradually mix in the new food over 7-10 days, increasing the amount of Merrick Backcountry Puppy Recipe each day. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. For your pet’s health, see your veterinarian regularly.

Puppy is eating more
We have a 5 month old blue heeler so he needs plenty of fuel for his too much gene but we were having a hard time getting him to eat enough when he was on science diet. We don't have that problem with this food, he loves it! We will be switching to a kibble with grains when he finishes this bag but we really like merrick's ingredients so we even switched our cat's food.

Great for Weight Gain
I got my Aussie Doodle and had started him on Nutri Sorce All Life Stages, but he was under weight at his first vet visit. He is now gaining weight and is thriving with this new food. He loves to eat, and will eat just the kibble with no extras having to be added

Puppy loves this
My dogs love this dry food, it's the only one they will eat. I add some of the chicken freeze dried bits to it also. I wish it had more already added.
