Pilot MR Metropolitan Fountain Pen, Fine Point, 05 mm, Black Ink, Single Piece

First fountain pen since doing penmanship in grade school. Very smooth to write with and feels great. Wish I brought it sooner.

It's an inexpensive entry-level fountain pen, but it really is a great pen. A smooth writer with a steel nib. I went for the fine as I have small handwriting, but several reviewers prefer the medium. No real flex, sadly, so you won't get any variation in the thickness of your lines. Came with a single black cartridge and a Con-B style converter. Pilot terms to be pretty proprietary, so you will be pretty much limited to black or blue cartridges unless you use the converter or refill spent cartridges with a blunt syringe and your preferred ink. Low temp hot glue to seal!
