Bought this for my husband. The powder is best shaken as opposed to mixing it with a spoon. The texture is smooth and not gritty. My husband said that it tastes like hot chocolate even when cold. My husband drinks 2-3 cups a day mixed with almond milk. Only time will tell if he puts on weight. Another positive is that the powder does not contain any added sugar. It is a high fat item and gluten free, as well .I would definitely recommend the product to anyone needing to put on weight.
