I don't notice a residue on my dishes with these pods and I have zero sense of smell so I'm not sure about the fragrance. But they're so easy to use pop one in load the dishwasher set it and leave for work. Can I come home and my dishes are done. I've used other detergent and these are by far the best.

These pods do a good job, overall. Since we started using them a few years ago, I can only remember one incident from 2 years ago where several pods were stuck together in their box, and two had to be tossed out because they ripped and leaked all over when trying to separate them. That has never happened again, so I'd say it was a one time occurrence.
