Dogs went wild
I have three dogs: an Australian Shephard, a Border Collie, and a Lab/Beagle. While they are not exactly picky, they also don't typically get excited over meal time. As soon as I opened the bag of Nutrish Real Salmon, they went nuts! I started by filling just one bowl, figuring in case they didn't like it they would have their regular food after. But they started immediately pushing each other to get to the bowl to grab a mouth full. I ended up filling all three bowls with Nutrish. This continued for every meal time until the bag was empty. They made sure each bowl was completely cleaned within minutes after me feeing them. I noticed no negative side affects after they ate the food. The only down side was there is an intense smell (good for them, not me), and the round shape of the food causes it to bounce and roll a bit- not a problem if you have vacuum dogs like me. While I received Nutrish for free to try, I will definitely be buying more for my doggos.
My dogs loved it!
I received this product in exchange for my honest review. I incorporated this dog food slowly into my dog's current food as to not cause stomach upset. I noticed they were eating their food quicker than usual and they seemed to really like it. After a few days of mixing it in, I served them a bowl of only this food and they ate it without reservation. I am also happy to report that none of my three (Belgian Malinois) experienced any stomach upset during the transition.
Promising New Food for a Dog with Digestive Issues
I recently switched my dog to Nutrish Real Salmon, Veggies & Brown Rice Recipe Dry Dog Food because he has a sensitive stomach and was having ongoing issues with his previous food. We just started this new food, but so far, so good. My dog seems to really enjoy the taste, which is a relief since he can be picky. More importantly, his stomach seems to be handling it much better—no immediate issues like upset or discomfort so far. That was my main concern when making the switch. I'm hopeful this will continue to work well for him. If things keep improving, this might finally be the right fit for his sensitive stomach.
