I made homemade soup the other day and forgot that I threw out the old blender weeks prior. This was bought as a quick replacement because I had company on the way over for dinner. Took it out of the box, blended the soup and was able to serve w/in the hour. It blended the soup perfectly w/out any clumps. Also, the price was so on. My only complaint was the base was made of light plastic but the jar was heavy glass which i was looking for.

It's easy to clean, doesn't leak at all, and I love the All-Metal Drive (my last blender had plastic components that broke off into my drink - this one takes that worry away!). I mostly use it for frozen fruit smoothies, but it has also worked great with breaking up ice and blending chunky sauces.
