Just when i thought the 500 couldn't get any better.
Ive had the maxvac 500 for about 4 years and have ran literally 1000's of cycles through it. It was great. I decided to upgrade to the 1000 simply for the manual feature. The vacuum on the 1000 is definitely a little better than the 500 and the cycle time is shorter, im guessing because it pulls a vacuum faster. Only ran about 300 bags through it so far, but as of now i love it. Its faster and quieter than the 500. Plan on using it for years.

Works great! We didn't have a large amount of bags to seal when we purchased it, so I cannot speak to how it will handle a big job. We sealed about 20 bags right out of the box. It was extremely easy to use, vacuum was strong & sealed every bag perfectly. The sealer is heavy, not too heavy, but heavy. It seems to be a high quality product that will stand the test of time. This is important to us. We are tired of spending money on junk! Not a fan of the attachment for bag rolls. It makes the sealer so big it wouldn't fit on the counter & allow room for sealing, so we left it off. It will probably never get used as it seems highly unnecessary. Wish I would have/could have ordered it without the attachment.
