Expert Grill Premium Portable Charcoal Grill, Black and Stainless Steel

It's a small version of what I used for 10 years while cooking for a full house, and just what's needed now it's just feeding two. The first full fire I set in it; to burn off the 'factory stink'; using 42 Expert Grill brand briquettes, hit a thermometer reading of 580° F ten minutes after I spread the fire out. An hour later it was down to 415° F, and after 2 hours it was still at 325° F. Next, I used about 30 briquettes to cook a pair of 10 oz., inch thick, prime beef New York Strips to a superb medium rare. The vents work beautifully for controlling the rate and temperature of the fire.

This Expert Grill is an outdoor mini tabletop style charcoal barbecue grill. It took my 19 year old daughter about 35 minutes to put this Expert Grill together by herself. She had to use her phillips head screwdriver and wrench. The instructions were more of an illustration type and she had no trouble putting it together. This grill has a thermostat/temperature gauge on its lid to allow me to see what temperate the interior of my grill is while I am cooking on it. The side of the grill has an air vent for controlling the temperate of the charcoals. The grill has a handle of each side to help with lifting it to where you want it to go. There is a handle in the front for lifting the lid. Once the lid is lifted this grills shows that it has a warming shelf above the grill grates. The charcoal gets placed below the grill grates, and below that is an ash tray. The ash tray has a handle on it so that I can pull it out and dumped the cooled contents. This little grill is really gorgeous but can handle a lot of food at once. My family was very pleased with this compact little beauty. We placed it on our steel patio table. I know others will be getting this after they see ours in use.
