Not what I expected for a seed starting mix.

It's much different than any seed starting mix I've ever used. That's not to say it wouldn't work just fine, I simply felt it wasn't the kind of mix I was looking for. It's more like very very fine mulch vs. the dark peaty mixes I've used in the past. But I do find it works great for topping off container plants. Gives potted plants a finished look and stops the rain from splashing dirt on the bottom leaves.
