Crazy Fast Chromebook!

The Acer Chromebook has exceeded all expectations. Right out of the box, it was very simple and intuitive to set up and get started. It only took a few minutes to log in to my Google account and Wi-Fi connection. From there, it was as though I was sitting in front of my desktop computer. I was looking for a middle ground for web access between my desktop computer and using my smartphone. The Acer Chromebook is a perfect compromise. My favorite feature of the Chromebook is its hallmark, speed. To say that pages load quickly would be an understatement. I have had no trouble with even the most content-laden pages. I can have multiple pages open at the same time and still work on a Google Docs document, without noticing any reduction in performance. The materials are attractive and do not feel cheap. The backlit keyboard is a very nice touch when I am working in a dark room. Besides that, the keyboard is responsive to the touch. The 15-inch screen is more than adequate to work on documents, view web pages or even watch a video. I really like the speakers that face upwards and run alongside the keyboard. They project the sound nicely into the room. They sound as though they have a little bit too much treble and not enough bass, but that is a minor objection. Start up and shut down are very quick and the battery life has been excellent. This would be an ideal computer for students and adults alike. I would highly recommend the Acer Chromebook to family and friends.

Love the touchscreen and quick bootup

I got it yesterday and went right to work on it. It has a large 15.6 inch wide touch screen which makes things so much easier than trying to use the touch pad on the keyboard to maneuver around on the screen or adding a mouse to one of the USB ports. I really like the sleek matte silver body design and it is so thin, lightweight and easy to carry from one room to the other at home, work or school. I also like that the speakers are on top of the keyboard which makes the sound a lot louder without having to turn the volume way up and worry about blowing the speakers. The boot-up time is quick and the really fast internet is great! The battery life amazed me as well with this long life 3 cell Li-Ion battery. It has 32GB of storage capacity and since I don't stream music and videos (but I do take a lot of pictures) this is more than enough space for what I need. It uses the Chrome operating system that I am not used to but am adjusting well to. I really like that I can have several windows or apps open without it crashing. That's a must for me. It has a built in web cam for video chat or video conferences. I must say, this chromebook will get a lot of daily use for a long time to come and I can't wait to continue to explore it to the fullest. The only down side is that it does not have a DVD/CD drive but that is what makes it able to be so sleek and thin. You can always use an external USB device to store information using one of the USB ports instead of a CD/DVD disc. So much more.

LONG BATTERY LIFE, GREAT LAPTOP!

I received this Acer Chromebook 15.6 IPS Full HD Touch Screen, Celeron N3350, 4GB LPDDR4, 32GB Storage, Google Chrome OS yesterday. I fully charged it and then turned it on and all I can say is WOW ! I used it all day doing things like adding apps and get familiar to it since I have never used a chromebook before. I have a mini Ipad and an iPhone and always have had Windows laptops. So this Chromebook is all new to me and I wasn't sure if I would like it. I turned it back on this morning and it still had 57% battery left after using it all day yesterday. So I preceded to add things to my new chromebook like my printer, it was added very easily using Google Cloud as my HP printer was Google Cloud ready. Everything I attempt to do is very easy, user friendly, no troubles at all. I went on You Tube to try out the speakers out and all I can say is that they are the best speakers I have ever had on a laptop! I think it is because the speakers are front facing and huge as they run on both the sides of the keyboard. To play music videos on you tube is a complete joy! I also love the look of this chromebook with its gray finish and the texture is rich and good looking. The keyboard is wonderful as it is lit up and the keys are large and easy to type fast on. I am so glad it has usb ports as I always use a mouse, I never learned how to use a trackpad and just enjoy using a mouse and it works great on this chromebook. So if you are looking for a good laptop under 400.00 this is the one to buy, no regrets here, I love it!
