These wet XL Swiffer pads save time and cost because of their larger size. They clean well on my tile and engineered wood floors. They save some cost by turning them over when one side gets dirty and mopping with the other clean side. In so doing I get twice the use out of one pad. If the pad gets dry, I use a cleaning spray to remoisten the pad.
