Feeding Instructions
Using the chart, divide the total cups per day by the total number of times you feed your dog per day to determine the portion size for each meal. Every dog is a little different, so optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size and activity level. Please use this information as an initial recommendation only and adjust when needed. Dry and wet food in combination will help to increase the level of water in your dog’s diet. If feeding with wet food, reduce dry amount by 1/2 cup for every 6 oz of wet food. Provide adequate fresh water in a clean bowl daily.
Transitioning: Gradually mix in the new food over 7 - 10 days, increasing the amount of Merrick Grain Free Real Salmon + Sweet Potato Recipe Dog Food each day. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets.

Surf n Turf !
I needed to decrease % protein and increase % fiber for our yellow lab to help solve gland issues, so I now MIX Merrick GF Salmon + Merrick GF Duck to create a Surf n Turf meal that solved the issue & still keeps % Omega/Gluco/Chon high in her dog food. Camille loves it, thanks Merrick!

Merrick Grain Free Salmon & Sweet Potato
I believe most German Shepherd owners will tell you that their dogs have sensitive stomach's. Ours is even worse off given that he has a condition called EPI - exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Despite being given the pancreatic enzyme required to keep him alive, various foods will go right through him. For some time I have fed him Nutram Sensitive Dog, which is an excellent Canadian product. However, as we are planning a Florida vacation this winter, I looked for something that was allowable to take across the USA border as well as buy in the states in addition to being nutritious and not problematic to my Shepherd's sensitive digestive system. Merrick's Salmon & Sweet Potato fits the bill. I have transitioned almost 100% now with no issues at all. Both dogs love this food, but more importantly our German Shepherd is tolerating it without any problems. With EPI, as the saying goes "it's all about the poops", which have actually gotten better since the switch to Merrick began. The Merrick developers of this food should be proud that their product is helping a dog with a serious digestive problem. Thank you.

Digestive cure!
My Rottweiler was having digestive issues for months. I tried to feed him 5 different pet foods in that time but he kept having issues with digesting the food properly. My vet recommended switching to a hypoallergenic hydrolyzed protein that is ridiculously expensive for a 120lb dog to eat. I did some research and this is what I found. Since switching my dog finally gets excited to eat, he has more energy, and his digestive issues are going away one at a time. I would highly recommend trying this pet found for anyone that has a dog with digestive issues when eating lamb, chicken, or beef dog foods.
