My cat is very picky. I want him to eat healthy but didn't like most of the healthy foods until I got Purina pro plan . Now I'm having to pick his bowl up until time to eat. I don't know if it helps with allergies yet. Have not been long enough. Will add update later.

As for the “allergen reducing” claim, the vet gave it a thumbs-up, apparently because the formula eliminates certain proteins that trigger human allergies, not because my cat suddenly becomes hypo-allergenic. I'm not sure how that works, but I'm happy to let science have its day. My cat seems content, the litter box stays clean, and I haven't had to dodge any sneezes while cooking dinner. If you're looking for a high-protein, small-kibble, ocean-themed feast that comes in a bag big enough to make you feel like you're feeding a small herd of cats, this is the one. Just don't expect it to turn your cat into a hypo-allergic miracle worker - that's still up to the vet and maybe a bit of magic.
