I had been searching for an automatic or semi automatic espresso machine for a while. I was tempted to pay the $600-$700 for the Breville but stumbled upon this one when researching. I'm so glad I went with this machine. It's not too big, it looks sleek, it's semi-automatic and I'm getting the hang of using it. I'm obsessed!!

Phillips Espresso has been great, the double wall cups eventually can get plugged it seems. But I cleaned them out with my air compressor. After that the machine continued to work flawlessly. Replacement cups and parts can be found here : https://philips.encompass.com/model/SAEPSA3218%7C01 (this is oem supplier parts website). I joined the Atlas Coffee Club and different beans from across the world are difficult to brew with but a fun and tasty adventure with this espresso machine. It feels premium and professional while still being consumer grade. / Fedex did replace the box though which was strange. It had a fedex message on it but that was probably a one off

Dynamic machine for adventurous consumers
I bought this a month ago and agree with much of the sentiment stated by other reviews. If you are looking for something more plug and play, then this probably isn't the right machine for you. I, on the hand, like how dynamic this machine is, especially in testing different roasts, each of which require some testing in fine tuning the grind and amount dials to find the ideal pressure to brew great espresso. Definitely a step up from an introductory machine while not as intimidating as a more expensive unit. Very happy with my purchase.
