Pet Naturals Daily Multi Chews for Dogs, Veggie, 150 Count

My Beagle is slightly anemic with low hemoglobin and pale gums. He needs iron and vitamins. I searched for a vitamin with no extras, i.e. chondroitin or glucosamine (he doesn't tolerate those). This was the only brand that fit the bill. Plus, it has just about every vitamin and mineral, like a human's Centrum. I've been using these almost 6 mos. I'm going on my second 150 container. He likes the flavor, but then he's a Beagle, and he eats everything. He takes one a day, so I split it between the 2 meals. Easy to cut with a knife. They are kind of gummy. They don't smell much. They can crumble a little, so when they get down to the crumbles, I give it to him with a measuring spoon. I've measured a chew to be about 1 tsp each, so I'll give him 1/2 each meal. I'll put the crumbles in a small shallow jar/container and sprinkle it on his food (he eats dry kibble mixed with his water). My dog's anemia has improved, and the vet said to keep using these. But for now, he also has to get an iron tonic supplement which is sticky and hard to dispense. I hope at some point the Pet Naturals chew is all he will need.
