I only needed to use one of the two curtains to hang for my son's window. What a perfect look for his bedroom! I couldn't wait until the evening rolled around the day I installed it. I went outside and long and behold, complete darkness outside his bedroom window! His bedroom light was on but it didnt make a difference. It does exactly what it says! It gives complete darkness and yes no high beam of sun in my child's bedroom. The only trouble I have is when its time for my son to get up, his room is so dark and relaxing in the morning he ignores his alarm to wake up! What a smart and great purchase I made! It's highly recommended!!

I got these curtains in Navy for my son's room with a space theme. They look amazing! At night, when there is a small amount of light from the hall or a nightlight, the stars reflect the light and seem to shine. These were labeled "Room Darkening" on the package, NOT "blackout." They work great for my purpose, but if you are looking for blackout curtains, these will not give complete blockage of light.
