It's good for trimming, I found it most easy to use in the shower with a bit of soup lathered in the areas I am about to use it in so it can glide easily. You'll just have to past over the area multiple times, though is less irritating then when you use it in the shower with just the water running.

I purchased the Manscape for my husband, and he HATED IT on the first use. He tried it less then a handful of times and said that it just didn't get a clean shave.
