I bought this one to keep at my house for me, I'm single. My old glass model was dropped and broken. I tried this model off and on for about 3 hours on me and my cat. It worked perfectly for both of us. It is light weight and easy to use. Instructions are very simple for anyone to use. Even if you can't read English, it is very easy to figure out. No more having to hold the glass type under your tongue. No more fighting a young child to check their temperature. Just a quick sweep across the forehead without touching them and the job is done.
