I bought this to use at work, as our thermometers are always getting lost/misplaced and it's helped with time management of speedy nursing assessments/vitals checks on my patients. It's super easy to use and is accurate (compared to the stuff we use in my hospital). Best $12 I've spent on something I use all day long! It's digital, no need to touch the patient, just hover over the forehead. There is no probe that needs to go in the ear, mouth, etc. I've only used this on adults.
