The green mat is a nice thickness, the ruler has nice clear numbers perfect for small projects. The blades are sharp the handle that holds the blade is light weight and thinner and a little bit shorter compared to another one I have. I would consider this to be heavy duty but it works perfect for what I need, using for removing plant leaves and plant grafting. I would buy again.
