Make sure you buy it from the store. It has to be scanned at the checkout so you can activate the phone. First, I purchased it online for store pickup and then had to return that one because Verizon couldn't activate it. They said this happens a lot. They shouldn't even allow us to buy it online if that's the case.

It's a plain, sturdy, economical PHONE.

This is a replacement for my last TCL phone which has finally worn out after years of use. I spend a lot of time outdoors, and I want no "glass brick" in my pocket, so I hope there will always be reasonably priced, sturdy flip phones. I down-rated the camera for no reason other than that I don't need it; if I want to take photos, I'll bring my camera. The battery life lost a star because I really don't need wi-fi except to download TCL software updates. I gave it 5 stars though, because I wanted a PHONE, and this answers my need just fine. I can't rate the driving mode or switching to bluetooth in the car because my car's bluetooth doesn't work properly (I wanted a CAR, not a rolling entertainment set). It took me a while to figure out how to transfer my contacts, but it's not too difficult, though I wouldn't wait around for their customer service. Oh, but one more thing. I kinda like the games, too -- though they didn't come with instructions ... These innovations will get me yet! :-)
