Gibson Tree Trimmings 20 Piece Round Ceramic Holiday Dinnerware Set

I always wanted Christmas dishes not to set our table with, but to actually use daily during December to make every meal/snack special. These dishes are full of Christmas spirit, gorgeous, and priced reasonably. They are packed so well by Gibson, each dish type in its own box separated by cardboard, and those boxes are packed tightly in a larger box that is double boxed; THEN Walmart bubble wrapped that box and boxed it up AGAIN for shipping. I see no plausible way any piece could arrive broken this way. Way to go Walmart! There were two cup saucers with some printing/paint defect but all the other pieces were as expected. In the picture it appears the design has a lot of yellow which initially gave me pause but it doesn't appear that way in person at all; it's just a perfectly traditional homey feeling Christmas tree. My children have loved drinking, nog, coffee, tea, cocoa from the cups and saucers and seeing the Christmas trees on their breakfast and dinner plates. I initially purchased the Better Homes and Gardens set but they were more cream, and very thick and heavy dishes that chipped on the red edges so very easily. All I seen when I handled them was big white spots in the red borders, they were new and already looked old and beat up. I returned those and purchased these instead and I'm so very pleased that I did! These dishes are much thinner (but not thin like my everyday Corelle that I love) and much lighter, so much easier on my carpel tunnel when handling. I first purchased three sets and just came back for a fourth.

Theses dishes are really nice. They are dishwasher safe and they have a traditional appeal to them.
