This is my second FoodSaver! Had the first one for over 8 yrs. Have used it to death-literally! Can't calculate the amt of money it has saved my family, not just preserving food but buying it on sale, vacuum sealing it & freezing for later use, esp meat and left overs. It's a must buy for a single person or family

This is a game changer. Before I bought the food saver I would end up with a lot of spoiled food because I couldn't eat it all in time. Since buying the foodsaver now I can freeze individual portions pop them in the freezer and then cook them a week later. I would recommend this for a large family or just 1-2 people. Best thing I e bought in years.

I bought this mostly to use with their kit to vacuum seal canning jars. I am a senior so it was a learning curve-had a lot of trouble getting the pints to seal for some reason buy no issues so far with the wide mouth jars. am using this to seal freeze dried foods. haven't tried the plastic bags yet
