Super useful in kitchen, for hot drinks and for soaking dishes. Unsure about the hard plastic parts and heat-thus 4 stars. i wish manufacturers would be more clear and forthcoming about the safety of the plastics used where it comes into contact with food, with and without heat. Labeling siad BPA free, so am hopeful.

Super fast hot water

I bought this kettle for a sports concession stand. We had an old fashioned water/coffee urn that would take forever to heat up, which means hot chocolate and ramen noodles were sold out within a half hour on a cold day. With this kettle we can quickly heat up water for the whole event. And since it is metal, we don't have to worry about cooling the kettle in between pots.
