Great receptacle for clumping cat litter.
Like these sterelite rectangular cans better than the ones with the ovalish shape. These fit better in corners, next to cat litter boxes. Use these with plastic trash bags as receptacles for clumping cat litter and put them out 2× a week. Rarely use the pedal because the force applied to the previous ovalish shaped ones all had the lids fail, especially when the can is not against a wall so that the lid would fling open and then rest open in free-air. The little clips that clip the lids onto the thin bar of the can would eventually fail from constantly stopping and holding the force of the lid flinging open. There is a piece of plastic on the inside of the lid that appears seems to have been added as a catch/stopper piece that possibly helps stop the force that transfers from the pedal being stepped on, to the flinging lid from being entirely stopped by the little clips. Whether it works, only time will tell. Orher than that, this is a great little can. The can in can design is easily kept clean, especially when using a liner. The lid keeps really stink smells in the can. Cleaning/ sanitizing the can is a cinch when using a liner. It's cute and keeps the stinky smells trapped when closed. The little sensor cans open too slowly and stop working . This is an oldie but goodie.
