I could not believe how light it was and thought that this will not hold me. But, once the step stool was unfolded, and I gave it a test try, it turned out to be very strong. I only use it to help to get into bed, and it is just perfect. Small enough that it does not get in the way, but so sturdy that I do not worry about using it.
