It works alright, but the packaging is a problem.
It seems to work fairly accurately, I tested it in a boiling kettle and it read 210 which is boiling point at my altitude. But the package it using some sort of tape that leaves a nasty, almost impossible to remove residue on the sensor that I don't want to put in my tea. You just have to shake your head sometimes.

Hello Martin! Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear the thermometer is reading accurately at your altitude. Regarding the tape residue, yes, we completely understand the frustration. The adhesive can leave a stubborn film, but thankfully it can be easily removed with a bit of rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth. That should leave the sensor clean and ready for use in your tea.
