Great Value Peanut Butter and Dark Chocolate Protein Bars, 21.1 oz, 15 Count

My daughter is a VERY PICKY eater, but she actually enjoys the Great Value Peanut Butter %26 Dark Chocolate Protein Bars as a breakfast treat every now and then. The bars are convenient, taste good, and the box lasts us a while. Each bar has about 190 calories, 10g protein, 12g fat, 14g carbs (9g net carbs), 5g fiber, and 6g sugar... pretty solid for a quick breakfast or snack. I do wish these had an organic option though. Non-organic protein bars can include ingredients grown with chemical pesticides and fertilizers, and there's ongoing debate over long-term health impacts and levels of exposure. Organic options would mean fewer synthetic additives and chemicals. Here's the ingredient list: peanuts, dark chocolate flavored coating (sugar, palm kernel oil, cocoa powder, dry whole milk, soy lecithin, salt), isolated soy protein, chicory root extract, peanut butter, semi-sweet chocolate chips (sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, soy lecithin, salt, vanilla), glycerin, corn syrup, gum arabic, inulin, maltodextrin, sea salt, dried coconut, almonds, natural flavor, almond butter. I wish these bars used higher standards for ingredients... there are a few questionable ones like palm kernel oil, corn syrup, and maltodextrin, plus natural flavors that aren't defined. It would be great if Walmart offered an organic version with a simpler, more natural ingredient list. But for now, these work as a reliable snack that even a picky eater will finish!

These are OUTSTANDING peanut butter and chocolate chip protein bars!! For whatever reason the computer wasn't working when Walmart was asking me questions about taste, texture, and if I recommend this product, just know that I HIGHLY recommend this product!! The bars are slightly bigger than normal chocolate chip granola bars and stay together better when you take one out of the wrapper pretty much due to the strip of dark chocolate at the bottom of the bar. The taste is extraordinary, and the bars are good for you and good for those on the Keto and Atkins diets as they are relatively low in carbs!! The bars make a great snack that is low in sugar and they are delightfully chewy and will satisfy any mid-morning or late-afternoon craving you have!! A great price too!! Thank you Great Value and Walmart!!
