Wonderful taste, might be good in winter order?

These are the best chips in the world. My chips arrived in a cardboard box with no packing to help keep them cool. Was all mushy in the bag so I stuck it in the fridge. This is what came out of the bag after they rehardened - big chunks of solid chocolate. I've received them before in perfect condition in the hot summer, in a foil insulated envelope. Not sure if there's any way to use these?? Maybe melt them all down then cut into squares for baking??

We are sorry that your chips arrived in less than perfect condition. But the good thing is that you can still use the chocolate. You might notice a slight change in appearance-this is called bloom. Bloom appears on the surface of chocolate as a white sheen, and it occurs when the fat (cocoa butter) separates from the other ingredients, or when sugar crystals form on the surface, often due to condensation. Bloom may look abnormal; however, the chocolate is still fine to eat, although it may have a slightly different texture or taste. Bloomed chocolate is fine for baking—just don’t use it for dipping because of the changed appearance. These chips also make a great ganache!
