Great little snowblower!

First snow blower I've owned so can't compare to others. This unit is light weight and easy to move around, which is perfect for this elderly female user. It was easy to assemble and use. Takes the battery a few hours to charge for the first time so plan ahead. I can do almost my entire driveway on one charge, as I have a long driveway and wide in one area. Battery tends to want to keep popping out when first using, not sure what that's about but once it starts, it seems to be ok. I am pleased with this unit and would recommend for cement/paved drives, sidewalks and decks. Runs for about 20 minutes on one charge.

Love this snow blower! Worth every penny! It's not too large, rechargeable battery, and gets the job done especially if your mainly using it for your driveway/walkways. After to snowballs within days, this really helped with the cleanup that I couldn't get done after shoveling upon the first snowfall. Now I'm ready for winter!

Great "budget" snowblower!

I decided to give this Greenworks 40V machine a try, knowing it might not have enough power for my needs. While I do find it a bit underpowered, the performance has surprised me quite a bit for such an inexpensive machine. First use was clearing a usable path (3 feet wide or so) up my 50 foot driveway and onto my walkway to front porch (maybe 10 feet). Two day old snow (4-6") with older, compacted snow and ice underneath. It did the job, albeit with effort and a few passes. It did not get through the bottom compacted snow completely, but it was good enough for the delivery guys to feel ok with hauling large and heavy refrigerators in and out safely. Second test was tonight - we're in the middle of a major winter storm with about 6" of snow so far with an additional 6-12" expected over the next day. I decided to give the machine a fighting chance on fresh (semi-wet) snow. I was able to basically clear my own side of the driveway (50 feet x 10 feet) to be drivable, but again couldn't really touch the underlying compacted snow and ice. The thing to remember about the Greenworks 40V, which I discovered on my second run, is that it takes some practice to learn how to best use it. My tips: 1) It is not self-propelled, so you need to learn how much to push it, when to back off and push again, and when to just go slow and steady. 2) If you're bogging down in difficult thick or wet snow, angle the machine upwards from the handle until it seems to push forward relatively freely. You may only be clearing 2-4" of snow with one pass, and it will take longer, but you'll get the job done with less overall effort and frustration. 3) If you find your chute is getting clogged when turned 180 degrees L or R, try turning it a notch or two toward center. Maybe not the "throw" you're wanting, but this is a low power single stage machine. You may need to adjust your clearing plan and/or technique to accommodate this. 4) Always keep the battery and charger INDOORS! Never store or charge the batteries in a garage or outdoor shed unless you happen to live in a very warm and dry climate. Cold batteries will only power the machine for a few minutes at best, if they manage to start at all. Overall, this is actually a really good budget snowblower. All things considered, I am comfortable giving it a 5 star rating. For the price, it's top notch for light-duty applications - very light and easy to handle. It's even workable for many medium-duty jobs given a decent amount of practice and patience. Not the best solution, but for $150 (Walmart price as of 2/2023) you can't go wrong. I can even see this as a hassle-free, light and maneuverable option for those who already own a heavy-duty gas-powered blower but just need to quickly clear a deck, walkway, sidewalk or short stretch of driveway without waking the cranky "sleeping giant". Highly recommended!
