We put ice in it at night to get it cold for the next day, in the morning it was still full of ice not much had melted. My husband took it to work the next day and hardly any ice melted, which was good, but he needed more water because the ice didn't melt like normal water jugs. He even tried sitting it out in the hot sun to get the ice to melt and the ice did not melt.

I like that it has a knotted handle which is long enough to separate from the top and swing and has a compass on it as well as three entirely different tops including two thick straws that has a it looks like a gun cleaner but obviously it's for the inside of the straws and work quite effectively. I would highly recommend this half gallon item keeps things hot and it keeps it cold and for $20 you can't beat that
